Eliana gave me a wonderful Mother’s Day present early. A few days ago we were driving in the car and Eliana grew silent (this is a rare occurrence, so I took note). After a little bit she said, “Mama, thank you for pouring your heart into my heart every day.” She made me melt.
Yesterday Jonathan asked her if she wanted to do anything special for mommy. She scrunched up her face and contemplated the question for a moment. Then she answered, “Well, I think I’d like to thank Grandma and Papa, and give mama an apple!”
Alyssa gave me the best present ever, too! Mother’s Day was the first day Jonathan and I have been able to see each other and spend together in two weeks. Even though Alyssa is working on bringing in her two front teeth on top, she slept wonderfully in her own crib all night and didn’t need any tending! We got to sleep in (relatively speaking)!
I have been so blessed!
